What is a Print Core?
Print Cores are the entire hot-end for use with the UltiMaker 3 and S series, with a chip built-in to communicate and sync with the printer. This chip contains information about the print core type and its runtime statistics. Print Cores are designed as a single assembly, making them easy to change and increases uptime.
Why can’t the nozzle be changed to a different size?
The nozzle is integrated into the Print Core. It is not recommended to disassemble Print Cores, as the internal components are fragile and assembled with specific force.
Please Note:
CC Print Cores are compatible for printing abrasive materials on UltiMaker S series printers only, UltiMaker 3 / 3 Extended models do not feature a hardened feeder for abrasive materials
